I was born and am currently living in Montreal.

My first paintings were done during my adolescence, where self taught, I began with oil paintings.

Later, I studied in Fine Arts at the community college level (C.E.G.E.P.) and obtained a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts with a specialization in teaching arts and painting at the University of Québec at Montreal (1976).

When I finished my university studies, I decided not to teach. All of my energy was concentrated on my art. However, in order to earn a living, I worked in the public health system until my retirement.

In 1989 some very serious health problems forced me to stop all artistic and professional activity. For several years I was unable to paint due to a lack of energy, motivation and time.

Little by little my health improved, but it is only when I retired in January 2010 that the creative motivation, the time and the physical energy came back once again in my life.

Since this renewal, everyday is consecrated to my paintings which I describe as artistic research.
